The Fletcher Opera Institute is located within several hours of some of the country's premier regional opera companies, including The Atlanta Opera, The Washington Opera. These esteemed companies, and others like them along the Eastern Seaboard, are in the forefront of the opera revival in this country. In North Carolina alone, there are five opera companies that offer opportunities for young artists and outstanding performances of perennial favorites. Students can enjoy access to these and numerous other innovative and critically acclaimed companies and performances to further enhance their education at the Fletcher Opera Institute.
