Marvin Kehler is from Pasadena, CA. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Alcorn State University, where he attended under a full music scholarship. At Alcorn State University, Mr. Kehler was awarded the Theodore Presser Scholarship for outstanding music student in 2005, and studied under Dr. David S. Blackburn. Marvin is now pursuing his Master of Music degree as a fellow at the A. J. Fletcher Opera Institute.
While studying for his Bachelor’s, Marvin was featured as soloist with the Alcorn State University Concert choir in nationwide tours and productions of Handel’s Messiah. Marvin covered Tamino in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and Alfred in Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss.
Mr. Kehler performs extensively in the local community of Natchez, MS. He regularly participates and leads in church music at The First Presbyterian Church in Natchez, MS and The Church of The Foothills in Pasadena, CA. An avid violin player, he performs with the Natchez String Quartet at weddings and other events. He is a student of Marilyn Taylor.
