Marvin Kehler

Tenor

A student of Dr. Marilyn Taylor, Marvin Kehler was a district winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions (MONCA) in 2009.  In 2008, Marvin won first place in the Hefner-Williams Competition.

While at the Fletcher Institute Marvin sang the role of Jirka in Dvorak’s The Devil and Kate Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore and Cecco in Haydn’s Il mondo della luna, and Danny in Weill’s Street Scene.  He toured with Piedmont Opera’s production of Cosí fan tutte as part of the state of North Carolina’s cART Wheels program. Last spring he stepped in with very little notice and sang Basilio/Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro for Piedemont Opera.
